1. Information we collect
Account and profile information. We process identifiers used to create or sign in to your account, your player ID, nickname, avatar, and profile information you choose to provide. If you sign in through Apple, Google or Facebook, we receive the identifiers and profile information authorized through that provider. We do not receive your password for those third-party accounts.
Game and social information. We process room membership, game actions and results, in-game balances, friend relationships, messages, reports and related records needed to operate the game. Information you share with other players may be visible to them.
Optional media features. If you enable available camera or microphone features, audio or video is processed to provide those features. Profile images, reports and, where enabled, sampled images or safety signals may be processed for moderation and player safety. You can manage device permissions in your operating system; disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
Transactions. Where in-app purchases are available, we process purchase identifiers, receipts, purchased items and transaction history to verify purchases and maintain balances. App stores and payment providers process payment details under their own policies.
Technical and support information. We process device and application information, IP addresses, sign-in and request logs, error information, and information you send to support, to operate and protect the service.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, rooms, gameplay, balances, social features and support.
- Verify sign-in and purchases, protect accounts, prevent fraud and address abuse.
- Moderate content and handle player reports and privacy requests.
- Maintain service reliability, investigate errors and improve the game.
- Meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Where required, we request consent for optional processing. Depending on the processing and applicable law, we also rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating a safe service, or legal obligations.
3. Sharing and service providers
We share information as needed with service providers supporting hosting, storage, content delivery, authentication, communications, moderation and payments. These may include Cloudflare for this website, Alibaba Cloud for application infrastructure, ZEGO for available real-time communications, and Apple, Google or Meta for features you choose to use. Their processing is also subject to their applicable policies.
Other players receive information necessary for your selected game and social features, such as your public profile and room actions. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. Storage, retention and security
Our application infrastructure is located in Singapore. Hosting, communications and other providers may process information in other locations. Where applicable, we use the safeguards required for international transfers.
We retain information for the purposes described here and as needed for security, dispute resolution, transaction records and legal obligations. Different records may have different retention periods. Deleting an account does not necessarily immediately erase every game, transaction, safety or backup record.
We use organizational and technical measures intended to protect information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Your choices and account deletion
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction of processing or withdrawal of consent. Contact support@mahjongface.com. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting on a request.
To request deletion of your Mahjong Face account and associated personal information, follow our Account Deletion instructions. Any waiting period or recovery deadline shown in the application applies. Some records may be retained for the reasons described above. Uninstalling the application alone does not delete your account.
6. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13. Additional age requirements and parental consent rules may apply where you live, as described in our Terms of Service. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
7. This website
This informational website does not include a game login, purchase flow, or account-deletion form. We do not add advertising trackers to its pages. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical request and performance information for delivery, reliability and security. Clicking an email link opens your email application; sending an email shares the information you include with our support team.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will display the updated date here. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
